Free Pattern: A warm Herring coozy

Who loves coffee!? Me!! Me!! I doo!! Okay, maybe I love it a little too much! haha! But that is besides the point, AM I RIGHT!

Lately we have been having to get up at the crack of dawn on the weekends to facilitate our children's sport schedules. IYKYK! Anyways, due to this having to wake the entire family before the sun has decided to rise, we do not have time to make coffee in the AM. I know we are self declared coffee snobs and have to have it from a pour over (when made at home). SO what may you ask have we been doing instead (obviously since we can't go without coffee because who would do that right!? )? We have been getting our coffee from a local coffee shop. Which has been great! They get us coffee quick in the AM, it's decent coffee, and it supports good causes around the world.

The one thing that sucks though? They don't have coozies! So the coffee comes out piping hot (GREAT!), and the cup also becomes piping hot (NOT GREAT!). Needless to say I saw where I could come to the rescue. And I created a pattern! OMG and I think that it is so stinking cute!

I have been into the herringbone pattern lately. I just love how it looks. If my husband isn't careful my DIY bone will kick and there will be herringbone all over our house! HAHA just kidding. We don't have the money for that, but a gal can dream can't she!

Important Notes

The Pattern is worked from the bottom up. On each of the rows that step, there are 32 increases. The way that the pattern increases  (to keep the rest of the pattern from being affected) will cause the “seamed” section to rise up a bit higher than the rest of the koozie.

** Colors are indicated in () as either Color A/B or  simply (A)/(B) Make sure to pay attention to this and carry both colors along as you stitch.

** Pattern is worked in the round. Do NOT turn.

Place a stitch marker at the end of each row. Only indicated where in first 2 rows. Continue in same fashion throughout pattern.
