Andrea
I hope that you have had a fun filled last week and were able to find warmth when needed. We loved playing in the snow and going sledding. Before that we were struggling to get over sickness which was no fun. Seems like we have been struggling with colds for months now. To be honest we were still sick when the snow hit but, the kids wanted to play so bad so we just bundled up a lot (think that kid from The Christmas Story) and took many breaks to warm up.
So I have been MIA but, I feel like that absence has been for good reason. Family time supersedes time trying to plan patterns or gardening or well anything else.
I don't know about you but, I am notorious for having a multitude of WIPs. I am currently working on something BIG for you. I can't begin to tell you the number of times I have had to frog entirely and start over. It's been a doozy. BUT I want it to be great and perfect for you. So it might take a minute to get ready. Just in time to start working on that project for next winter 🤣. So Just be ready! You are going ot LOVE it! Make sure you subscribe so that you don't miss the news when the pattern finally drops!
I did make something small though for you. One of those many WIP. I have been a bit on the depressed side of life what with all of the sickness and having to take down all of the beautiful Christmas decorations. The snow helped as I just love the snow. Otherwise inside the house its been drab. So, to counteract or erase the drabness, I decided to make some decorations for the upcoming holiday, Valentine's Day. What better way to show some love (via decor) than a sweet heart garland. I found this yarn for super cheap (I think $2.00) at Walmart and I just love how it has the extra little shininess in it. This heart pattern, where the heart ends up being 3.5 by 3 inches, is very simple and quick so you can make a whole bunch and then tie them up with some ribbon or like I did with twine for the rustic look. I love the rustic look!

Depending on how you plan to use your heart, either leave a long tail to hang with, or just enough to weave in to make it secure.
You can make the hearts more stiff and defined by using a fabric stiffener and blocking the pattern. Otherwise, that is it! String up with some twine or ribbon and make some cute hanging decorations for your cabinets. Or string a bunch together for a cute garland! However you go about it have fun!
I would love to see what you end up creating! Please tag me if you post a picture on social.
As always Thank you for taking the time and Happy Crafting!
