So I haven't posted because it has been one interesting week in our house. One of our children developed Croup last weekend. If you know anything about croup you know it can be super scary. He couldn't breath even though we tried everything we could to help him, giving him some of his Albuterol which didn't really help. So we ended up in the ER in the middle of the night for several hours. A steroid shot and breathing treatment later, they observed him and gave him the all clear to go home.

But he was still contagious.

So we spent the week, trying to keep the other children from catching it on top of the fact that I was recovering from sickness. (the hospital thinks I was OG with Croup although it presents more like a cold in adults). On top of that, we had a party planned to celebrate 2 of their birthdays. But due to poor planning on my part most of our little friends would be elsewhere unable to attend. So we only had few that would have been able to join. Then the last few friends dropped, afraid of catching sickness, even though he was no longer contagious. So we had to make the last minute decision to cancel the party. We ended up just having some family over to celebrate which turned out nice. I still felt like I had failed as a mom. They had fun and enjoyed their family. I just hope that was enough.

So, that's why I have been MIA from the blog for a bit. It has been a bit of a stressful week. On top of that TN got hit by some tornados last night. I am hopeful that the damage was minimal no one was hurt. We will find out more in the morning.

I do have some new patterns incoming. A couple free ones that I will post here on the blog. And I am working on a few more that will hopefully turn out nice. Stay tuned!
